Guilt & Beliefs

When you feel a lot of guilt, your body is stressed. When your body is stressed your immune system is weakened. Denying or suppressing emotions takes a toll on the immune system as well.

Nobody can afford a weakened immune system right now.

GUILT: The should’s

I should be able to do more, I should not have…,  I should have done a better job,  I should not feel…, I should exercise more, etc.

❓ Where does all the guilt come from?

Belief systems play a big role in our lives. I have identified several belief systems (false beliefs) that have affected me. For example, the story from the Bible where Eve ate the forbidden fruit. For most of my life, I assumed this was just a story from the Bible, I did not realize that I was using my energy to fight against the story

😲 Eve was bad.

😲 Eve and all women are cursed.

😲 Eve was a temptress.

Other people have not had the same experience as me…they dismissed Adam & Eve as a story and have not spent their energy fighting against it.

So where do beliefs come from? There are several theories. One of my mentors said that we are born with beliefs (I am not sure if this is his own belief or if comes from his training in Chinese Medicine.) Another theory is that our belief patterns are established pre-verbally given our family environment and the society norms we are surrounded by. Regardless of where belief systems come from, they affect people in different ways.

Belief patterns that are out of alignment with our heart can show up as in symptoms in the body such as anxiety, depression, chronic guilt, chronic anger, etc.  Belief patterns along with emotions are not logical so they cannot be treated logically ~ they must be addressed at the subtle level.

💘 Decreasing stress so the immune system can function well is important and with Covid 19 on the rise it is imperative.
